Clawed Hat Films was founded by Anton Leach in 2014 when he began his journey into docuseries, creating the Discovery, Animal Planet, series ‘The Lion Queen.’ After the success of the series, including being placed into the top 10 Animal Planet Documentaries of the Year, Anton went on to produce ‘The Lion Queen Series Two’ and ‘Wild Animal Rescue.’ Anton is supported by a rich 20+ year history in the film industry, from Hollywood blockbusters in LA to independent documentaries in France.
Joined now by Jasmine Duthie, Clawed Hat Films has expanded to offer short-form video production with a speciality in on-location, fast turn-around delivery to keep viewers connected to stories as they unfold. Jasmine has a background in field directing and camera operating for television as well as video editing for NZME. She recently produced ‘The Luring’ which received ‘Best Experimental Film’ at the Auckland International Film Festival as well as ‘Official Selection’ at Barcelona International Film Festival and ‘Official Selection’ at Venice Film Week.
